The Office for the Protection of the Competition of the Czech Republic is organizing the sixth autumn  St. Martin Conference which will be held on 13 and 14 November 2012 at the headquarters of the Czech Competition Authority in Brno.

The conference will provide excellent opportunity to gain update on the major developments in the field of the Czech, EC and international competition law and policy over the past twelve months. It will bring together Czech as well as foreign competition experts from the competition authorities and other governmental bodies, European Commisssion, business comunity, privat sector, judiciary and academics.

This year the themes are prepared so that the most recent and to the fullest extent of the issues which will the legal profession. There will not miss the traditional   ̎What’s new in the competition ̎. Among other issues discussed this year’s conference will include issues of supervision of public authorities, economic approach – network industries, competitors as an economic unit, competition in hospital services and new process institutes of competition law.

Official languages of the conference are Czech and English, with simultaneous interpretation.

Registration fee is CZK 5.000 for public or 1. 500 for students, academicians and civil servants. (If you are unable to attend, a replacement delegate is welcome at no extra cost. No refunds can be made for cancellations, except for serious health reasons). The number of participants is limited by the capacity of the hall.
