The Office for the Protection of the Competition of the Czech Republic is organizing the fifth annual conference focusing on recent trends and developments in the competition law and policy.

The conference will be also celebrating the 20th anniversary of the Office and will be dealing with the current news in the Public Procurement, Significant Market Power and State Aid. The conference will be held from 29 November to 1 of December 2011 at hotel Holiday Inn Brno.

The conference will provide an excellent opportunity to gain update on the major developments in the field of the Czech, EC and international competition law and policy over the past twelve months. It will bring together Czech as well as foreign competition experts from the competition authorities and other governmental bodies, European Commission, business community, private sector, judiciary and academics.

The conference will begin on 29 November 2011 by afternoon opening speeches of the chairman Petr Rafaj and other distinguished guests. The second day will be dedicated to the Competition policy and enforcement of the competition rules in the Czech Republic and EU. The third day will focus on the topic of Public Procurement, Significant Market Power and State Aid.

Official languages of the conference are Czech and English, with simultaneous interpretation.
